Dillon Brooks will play a crucial role when the Phoenix Suns face the Oklahoma City Thunder. However, while the Thunder will be no doubt a strong team to beat, Brooks is concerned about something entirely different.

As the Oklahoma City Thunder prepare to defend their NBA championship, serious allegations have plagued their season. Despite the likes of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander dropping some rare statlines, the star player has been accused of ‘foul-baiting.’ And that is exactly what the 30-year-old is fearful of heading into the game.

Featuring in a segment of the ‘Oh No He Didn’t,’ Brooks stated, “There are a lot of foul baiters on that team. We gotta show our hands. I hope it’s the real playoffs. Show your hands.”

Well, while this was a brutal dig at the defending champions, the accusations are not new. Back in late-March, when Oklahoma faced the Detroit Pistons, a free-throw disparity generated a lot of heat. Helped by Gilgeous-Alexander’s 47-point night, the Thunder won 114-110. But while the Detroit Pistons earned 23 free throws, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander alone drew 25!

Meanwhile, as the battle lines are drawn, we predict how the Phoenix Suns vs. Oklahoma City Thunder matchup plays out.

Will Dillon Brooks’ Phoenix Suns Be Able To Defeat The Mighty Oklahoma City Thunder?

Looking at their regular-season head-to-head, the Thunder leads the series 3-2. However, in their very last game, Phoenix managed to down the Thunder comfortably. On the contrary, in all three games that Oklahoma won, they scored a massive 123, 136, and 138 points, raising serious questions about the Suns’ defense.

Thankfully, one thing going in favor of Brooks and his team will be injuries. Apart from Mark Williams, there are no significant injuries for the Suns. But the Oklahoma City Thunder list Jaylin Williams and Chet Holmgren as questionable for Game 1.
