Stars from all forms of entertainment and sports were in the same crowd for the WrestleMania 42 event. And while he’s going through a positive injury rehab, Tyrese Haliburton was the NBA’s poster boy for the wrestling event.

During Night 1 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, NFL star George Kittle and the NBA superstar guard were all over the big screen. As Haliburton stood up, trying to catch his breath while coughing, he was seemingly ready to chug his beer for the crowd.

However, Kittle suddenly burst into frame out of nowhere and snatched the drink out of his hand, and downed it in one go. As the whole thing was supposedly on the Jumbotron, the stadium erupted with loud cheers.

Funny enough, Haliburton looked momentarily stunned before cracking a reluctant smile, while Kittle soaked in the cheers like a seasoned WWE performer. Whether it was part of a plan or spontaneous remain unclear, but the moment had all the elements of classic wrestling entertainment.

And from the reactions caught on the broadcast mic, fans loved every ounce of it. Additionally, both athletes are longtime WWE fans. Kittle, in particular, has embraced the spotlight before, even getting physically involved at past events.

The two-time NBA All-Star, meanwhile, has made appearances on WWE programming and clearly understands the theatrics.

The moment was even more surreal considering both stars are currently recovering from Achilles injuries, Kittle from his recent NFL setback, and Haliburton from last year’s NBA Finals.

For now, neither is stepping into the ring anytime soon. But at WrestleMania, they didn’t need to.

Tyrese Haliburton Is A Longtime WWE Fan

While most fans know him for his NBA stardom, Tyrese Haliburton’s love for WWE isn’t new.

Only more than a year ago, the Pacers guard stepped into the spotlight to help set up a championship match, bringing teammates Myles Turner and Enrique Freeman along with him. But instead of a warm reception, the Florida crowd greeted him with loud boos.

But Haliburton didn’t miss a beat while replying to the enthusiastic fanbase.

“I would boo too if I had to be an Orlando Magic fan,” he fired back, instantly flipping the moment in his favor.

However, after that very moment and a few more occasions, many fans, including those who follow WWE or the NBA, came to realize why Haliburton fits so naturally in the wrestling world.

Additionally, around the same time, Haliburton also met WWE legend Shawn Michaels backstage, only to deepen his ties with the wrestling entertainment.
