The Enhanced Games will kick off this weekend, with a plethora of athletes set to make history in Las Vegas. There were times when athletes had to hide to use performance-enhancing drugs, and those who were caught using them received strong punishments.

However, this competition will change that paradigm. Stars of the track, field, pool and gym will compete in Sin City, where the first Enhanced Games will take place.

The difference between this competition and others is that its athletes will openly use PED for the first time. As expected, the concept of the competition raised eyebrows. Then again, the prize money suggests that it has drawn plenty of attention.

Enhanced Games To Pay Big Money To Athletes

While countries like the United States award Olympic champions with $37,500 for a gold medal, the Olympic Games didn’t offer a cash prize until 2024. Noah Lyles earned $50,000 after winning the 100 metres in Paris.

Then come the Enhanced Games. An event winner can take home $250,000. Second place gets $125,000, and third, $75,000. Fourth place receives $50,000, the same as the gold winner in the Olympics.

Additionally, if somebody surpasses a world record, the competition offers a bonus. If somebody were to beat the 100 metres world record, the bonus would be a $1,000,000.

This idea sounds highly controversial, but nobody can deny that it looks pretty interesting to see.
