Rick Ross just gave nemesis 50 Cent something else to troll him about.
The rapper was arrested in Miami Beach on serious domestic violence charges early Thursday morning. The 50-year-old hip-hop artist voluntarily surrendered to local detectives following a recently filed police report.
Authorities officially booked him into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center just after 6:00 a.m. He currently faces one felony count of battery by strangulation and a misdemeanor count of battery.
The Serious Legal Trouble That Just Caught Up With Rick Ross

According to the police report, Ross allegedly slapped the woman and slammed her directly against a wall. He also restricted her breathing by violently twisting the tight collar of her hoodie during the fight.
In Florida, domestic battery by strangulation is categorized as a third-degree felony criminal offense. If convicted on that felony charge alone, the legendary hip-hop artist could face up to five years in state prison.
Rick Ross’s attorney, Bradley Horenstein, has publicly maintained his client’s complete innocence regarding all the physical abuse claims.
“All I can say is that the allegations are false. He’s innocent. Everything is going to come out,” Horenstein told CBS News Miami. “We just ask that you allow the process to play out before rushing to judgment, because the truth will come in.”
Ross quickly entered a not-guilty plea to both of the state’s active charges. The judge set Ross’ bond at $4,000 on the battery by strangulation charge and $1,000 on the misdemeanor battery charge, for a total of $5,000.
Ultimately, his upcoming arraignment is officially scheduled for October 22 to determine how the criminal case proceeds.
