REPORT: Colorado Buffaloes Are Now College Football’s “Most Expensive Ticket”
The Deion effect is crazy.
Colorado is literally the hottest ticket in college football.
According to Front Office Sports, the Buffaloes have surpassed Ohio State as the highest average ticket price in college football.
“The average secondary market ticket price for Colorado home games is now $517, an 11% increase since last week’s win over Nebraska,” Andrew Cohen of Front Office Sports wrote. “The Buckeyes now rank second at $512 for home games, knocking them out of the top spot for the first time since the start of the 2021 season.
“Colorado secondary ticket prices are up 163% since before the start of this season, which began with the Buffs unranked before beating TCU and Nebraska to climb to No. 18 on the AP Poll. CU prices are up a whopping 327% since the beginning of last season’s ticket sales.”
After quickly becoming one of the hottest sports stories in the country, No. 18 Colorado will enter Week 3 in major headlines as they get ready to take on Colorado State.
Colorado State coach Jay Norvell took a jab at Deion Sanders, saying, “When I talk to grown-ups, I take my hat and my glasses off.”
Saturday’s matchup between No. 18 Colorado and Colorado State wasn’t billed as anything huge but now these comments have people wanting to tune in. Norvell added that he and Rams players have developed “a chip on their shoulder” after being asked so many questions about Colorado by ESPN, which is televising Saturday night’s game.
Colorado State visits Folsom Field as a 23.5-point underdog to Colorado.
The Buffs biggest win was easily the first game as they had a memorable 45–42 upset win over reigning national runner-up TCU.
