Grading All 32 NFL Teams Offenses After Week 13 Games
Week 13 saw some incredible offensive performances from teams wanting to get ahold of the one seed in their respective conference playoff standings as well as teams in the hunt for a playoff spot performing very well whether they were wins or losses. However, some other offenses struggled on the field and have more question marks than answers as there are five more weeks left in the regular season.
Here are the grades for all 32 NFL Team offenses after week 13 games:
Arizona Cardinals: C+ (Last week D)
It was a massive turnaround for the Cardinals as they stunned the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road in a 24-10 victory. Kyler Murray threw one touchdown pass against no interceptions but was sacked twice. James Conner had himself a game with 105 rushing yards on 25 carries and scored two touchdowns against his former team. Trey McBride caught eight receptions for 89 yards and scored a touchdown. It was a much-needed victory for a team that has been struggling all season long with injury woes and inconsistent play, as they steal a win away from the Steelers.
Atlanta Falcons: C (Last week C-)
The Falcons’ offense barely secured their 13-8 victory over the New York Jets due to some inconsistent play, but they outplayed Gang Green. Desmond Ridder threw one touchdown against zero interceptions but was sacked three times. Bijan Robinson rushed for 53 yards on 18 carries while Kyle Pitts caught four receptions for 51 yards, and MyCole Pruitt caught one reception for 20 yards and scored the game’s only touchdown. The Falcons have a lot of work to do, but should feel satisfied after securing a victory on the road and can potentially win the NFC South- if they earn more wins for the remainder of the season.
Baltimore Ravens: Bye Week (Last week B+)
When the Raven’s offense resumes action in week 14, they need to continue playing well in the running and passing game against their remaining opponents as they try to secure the one seed from teams like the Miami Dolphins or Kansas City Chiefs.
Buffalo Bills: Bye Week (Last week B-)
The Bill’s offense needs to get themselves out of their losing slump and possibly if they want to get into the playoffs this season.
Carolina Panthers: D- (Last week D)
The Panthers’ offense struggled but put up a fight against their NFC South rivals, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in an 18-21 loss. Bryce Young threw one interception and was sacked four times while Chubba Hubbard rushed for 104 yards on 25 carries and scored two rushing touchdowns. Jonathan Mingo caught six receptions for 69 yards and DJ Chark Jr. caught three receptions for 56 yards. It was a tough day for the Panthers’ offense despite Hubbard’s efforts on the ground as they also got mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. It may be time for this team to lose out and secure a good draft pick in 2024.
Chicago Bears: Bye Week (Last week C)
The Bear’s offense needs to drastically improve with Justin Fields or just lose out so they can have strong draft capital for the 2024 season as their rebuild resumes in the offseason.
Cincinnati Bengals: B+ (Last week D+)
The Bengals offense played very well as they secured a 34-31 overtime victory on the road in Duval County against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Jake Browning threw one touchdown against no interceptions but was sacked twice. Joe Mixon rushed for 68 yards on 19 carries and scored two rushing touchdowns while Ja’Marr Chase caught 11 receptions for 149 yards and scored a touchdown. It was an amazing day for Chase, with the Bengals offense playing very well against the Jaguars, underneath the lights of Monday Night Football, as they clawed their way to victory.
Cleveland Browns: C- (Last week D+)
The Browns’ offense added some veteran experience with Joe Flacco at the helm, despite losing 19-36 to the Los Angeles Rams. Flacco threw two touchdowns against one interception in the loss. Kareem Hunt rushed for 48 yards on 12 carries while Harrison Bryant caught five receptions for 49 yards and scored a touchdown, and Jerome Ford caught three receptions for 33 yards and scored a touchdown. Despite the Browns’ efforts, they didn’t pull off the win with Flacco- still learning the playbook- and doing whatever he could to get the win. The Browns played okay on offense.
Dallas Cowboys: A- (Last week A)
The Cowboys’ offense had another very productive week with a 41-35 victory over the Seattle Seahawks. Dak Prescott threw three touchdowns against zero interceptions but was sacked four times. Tony Pollard rushed for 68 yards on 20 carries while CeeDee Lamb caught 12 receptions for 116 yards and scored a touchdown, Jake Ferguson caught six receptions for 77 yards and scored a touchdown, and Brandin Cooks caught four receptions for 45 yards and scored a touchdown. The Cowboys’ offense continues to show why they’re one of the NFL’s best units with a strong performance against a tough opponent in the Seahawks.
Denver Broncos: D+ (Last week B)
The Broncos’ offense was down 10-3 before falling short in a 17-22 failed comeback attempt against the Houston Texans ending their five-game winning streak. Russell Wilson threw one touchdown pass against three interceptions and scored a rushing touchdown. Javonte Williams rushed for 46 yards on 13 carries while Courtland Sutton caught two receptions for 77 yards and scored a touchdown in the second half, and Jerry Jeudy caught three receptions for 51 yards on the afternoon. It was tough seeing the Broncos’ five-game winning streak get snapped, but the Broncos are still in the playoff hunt as they have their eyes set on rebounding after this tough loss to Houston.
Detroit Lions: B+ (Last week D+)
The Lions’ offense turned things around on the road with a 33-28 win over the New Orleans Saints. Jared Goff threw two touchdowns against zero interceptions but was sacked once. Jahmyr Gibbs rushed for 60 yards on eight carries while David Montgomery rushed for 56 yards on 18 carries and scored a rushing touchdown, and Jameson Williams rushed for 19 yards on a carry and scored a touchdown. Sam LaPorta caught nine receptions for 140 yards and scored a touchdown and Amon-Ra St. Brown caught two receptions for 49 yards and scored a touchdown. It was a much-needed victory for the Lions who lost at home on Thanksgiving to the Green Bay Packers in week 12 and another victory to help them lock the NFC North crown.
Green Bay Packers: A- (Last week B+)
The Packers’ offense had a great game against the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs with a 27-19 victory on Sunday Night Football. Jordan Love threw three touchdowns against zero interceptions but was sacked twice. AJ Dillon rushed for 73 yards on 18 carries while Christian Watson caught seven receptions for 71 yards and scored two touchdowns but left the game with a hamstring injury, and Ben Sims caught one reception for one yard and scored a touchdown. It was a very productive day for the Packers’ offense as they secure another win as they hunt a playoff spot down in a tightening NFC North.
Houston Texans: B- (Last week C)
The Texans’ offense had a nice rebound 22-17 victory over the Denver Broncos after dropping their week 12 game to the Jacksonville Jaguars. C.J. Stroud threw one touchdown against no interceptions but was sacked five times. Dameon Pierce rushed for 41 yards on 15 receptions and scored a rushing touchdown while Nico Collins caught nine receptions for 191 yards and scored a touchdown but the team will be without Tank Dell for the remainder of the season as he will have season-ending fibula surgery. Losing Tank Dell is going to hurt, but Collins had a very nice performance and the Texans will be ready for battle, as they do everything they can to hunt down a spot in the 2023-24 playoffs.
Indianapolis Colts: B- (Last week B-)
The Colts’ offense played a good game where they came from behind and defeated their AFC South rival Tennessee Titans 31-28 in overtime after being down 13-17 at halftime. Gardner Minshew threw two touchdown passes against zero interceptions but was sacked three times while Zack Moss rushed for 51 yards on 19 carries. Michael Pittman Jr. caught 11 receptions for 105 yards and scored a touchdown while Alec Pierce caught three receptions for 100 yards and scored a touchdown. Kicker Matt Gay also made four field goals in the victory as the Colts receivers had an excellent day on the field as they helped secure the victory against the Titans in comeback fashion.
Jacksonville Jaguars: B- (Last week B)
The Jaguars’ offense played a close and competitive game against the Cincinnati Bengals but fell 31-34 in overtime on Monday Night Football. Trevor Lawrence threw two touchdowns against no interceptions but was sacked twice before leaving the game with a sprained ankle as CJ Beathard replaced him. Lawrence also scored a rushing touchdown while Travis Etienne Jr. rushed for 45 yards on 11 carries and scored a rushing touchdown. Evan Engram caught nine receptions for 82 yards and scored a touchdown while Parker Washington caught six receptions for 61 yards and scored a touchdown. It was a solid day for the Jaguars but they couldn’t get the win in the end in a very close overtime loss. They will bounce back in the remaining weeks of the season and do well in the playoffs.
Kansas City Chiefs: C (Last week B+)
The Chiefs’ offense played well but couldn’t secure the victory in their 19-27 loss to the Green Bay Packers. Patrick Mahomes threw one touchdown against an interception but was sacked twice. Isiah Pacheco rushed for 110 yards on 18 carries and scored a touchdown but was ejected from the game for throwing some punches at the Packers. Travis Kelce caught four receptions for 81 yards and Noah Gray caught one reception for two yards and scored a touchdown. The Chiefs’ offense played well, but couldn’t secure the victory in Lambeau Field- as they fall to 8-4 so far this season.
Las Vegas Raiders: Bye Week (Last week C-)
The Raider’s offense has a lot of question marks with a few weeks left in the regular season as Aidan O’Connell needing to improve for some instances if he wants to be a relevant starting quarterback in the league beyond 2023 as well as trying to find a way to please Davante Adams in the 2024 offseason.
Los Angeles Chargers: D+ (Last week C-)
The Chargers’ offense did not score any touchdowns in their week 13 6-0 win over the New England Patriots but they still scored two field goals and kept New England out of the end zone. Justin Herbert didn’t throw any touchdowns or interceptions and wasn’t sacked while Austin Ekeler did not have a productive afternoon with 18 rushing yards on 14 carries. Keenan Allen caught five receptions for 58 yards and Quentin Johnston caught five receptions for 52 yards. It was not an easy day for the Chargers offense, but Cameron Dicker kicked two field goals in the second quarter, which were the team’s winning points in the end.
Los Angeles Rams: B+ (Last week C+)
The LA Rams are currently on a three-game winning streak as they defeated the Cleveland Browns 36-19. Matthew Stafford threw three touchdowns against zero interceptions and wasn’t sacked at all. Kyren Williams rushed for 88 yards on 21 carries and scored a touchdown while Puka Nacua caught four receptions for 105 yards and scored a touchdown, Demarcus Robinson caught four receptions for 55 yards and scored a touchdown, and Cooper Kupp caught six receptions for 39 yards and scored a touchdown. It was a great day for the Rams offense as they hunt down a playoff spot in the final weeks of the regular season, that continues to wind down.
Miami Dolphins: A (Last week B-)
The Dolphins’ hot offense took the Washington Commanders down in a 45-15 dominant fashion. Tua Tagovailoa threw two touchdowns against no interceptions while De’Von Achane rushed for 73 yards on 17 carries and scored two rushing touchdowns and Raheem Mostert rushed for 43 yards on 11 carries and scored a rushing touchdown. Tyreek Hill caught five receptions for 157 yards and scored two touchdowns. The Dolphins’ offense cannot be stopped as they continue their push toward the AFC East crown and the playoffs.
Minnesota Vikings: Bye Week (Last week D+)
The Viking’s offense needs to get themselves out of their two-game losing streak when they return to action in week 14 otherwise the Green Bay Packers will pass them by and sneak into the playoffs.
New England Patriots: D- (Last week D-)
It was another awful week for the Patriots offense, as they fell to the Los Angeles Chargers 6-0. Bailey Zappe got the start. He didn’t throw any touchdowns or interceptions, but was sacked five times. Ezekiel Elliot rushed for 52 yards on 17 carries and caught four receptions for 40 yards while Rhamondre Stevenson rushed for 39 yards on nine carries but lost a fumble. Davonte Parker caught four receptions for 64 yards while Hunter Henry caught two receptions for 15 yards. It was a tough day for the struggling Patriots, as they still have major work to do in the offseason but their running backs performed much better than the Chargers’ running backs all game.
New Orleans Saints: C (Last week C-)
The Saints’ offense had a decent performance despite losing a close game to the Detroit Lions 28-33. Derek Carr threw one touchdown against one interception but was sacked twice, lost a fumble, and left the game with a couple of injuries. Jameis Winston didn’t play that much better but Taysom Hill rushed for 59 yards on 13 carries and scored a touchdown while Alvin Kamara rushed for 51 yards on 13 carries and scored two rushing touchdowns and caught six receptions for 58 yards. Jimmy Graham caught one reception for six yards and scored a touchdown while Chris Olave led the team with five receptions for 119 yards. The Saints played a good offensive battle, but came up short and need to hope that Derek Carr recovers well from his recent injuries.
New York Giants: Bye Week (Last week D+)
The good news for the New York Giants is Tyrod Taylor is returning to practice and will help the offense out in case anything happens to Tommy DeVito due to one of the worst offensive lines in the league.
New York Jets: D (Last week D)
The Jets’ offense played very lackluster football against the Atlanta Falcons as they fell 8-13 in a game they should’ve won. Tim Boyle threw one interception against no touchdowns and was rightfully benched for Trevor Siemian who didn’t play that much better either as he was sacked three times. Dalvin Cook played fair as he rushed for 35 yards on nine carries while Breece Hall rushed for 16 yards on 13 carries. Xavier Gipson caught five receptions for 77 yards and Garrett Wilson caught three receptions for 50 yards. It was a brutal day for the Jets’ offense, as Greg Zuerlein scored the only offensive points for the Jets, all game long with two field goals.
Philadelphia Eagles: D+ (Last week A-)
The Eagles’ offense regressed as they couldn’t stop the San Francisco 49ers in a 19-42 loss. Jalen Hurts threw one touchdown against no interceptions and scored a rushing touchdown but got sacked three times. A.J. Brown caught eight receptions for 114 yards and DeVonta Smith caught nine receptions for 96 yards and scored a touchdown. It was a tough night for the Eagles as the 49ers’ offense ran all over the defense, at the end of the evening.
Pittsburgh Steelers: D+ (Last week C+)
The Steelers’ offense took a bit of a hit when Kenny Pickett left the game with an ankle injury as Mitch Trubisky took over and threw a touchdown against no interceptions in the 10-24 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Najee Harris rushed for 63 yards on 16 carries while George Pickens caught four receptions for 86 yards and Diontae Johnson caught four receptions for 33 yards and scored a touchdown. It was a tough day for the Steelers’ offense, as they tried to get themselves the win, but came short in their loss to the Red Birds.
San Francisco 49ers: A (Last week B+)
The 49ers’ offense ran all over the Philadelphia Eagles in their 42-19 victory. Brock Purdy threw four touchdowns against zero interceptions but was sacked twice. Christian McCaffrey rushed for 93 yards on 17 carries and scored a touchdown while Deebo Samuel rushed for 22 yards on three carries and scored a touchdown while he caught four receptions for 116 yards and scored two touchdowns. George Kittle caught four receptions for 68 yards, Brandon Aiyuk caught five receptions for 46 yards and scored a touchdown, and Jauan Jennings caught three receptions for 44 yards and scored a touchdown. It was a very productive evening for the 49ers’ offense as they continued their dominance and they proved they’re one of the best offenses in the league this season.
Seattle Seahawks: B- (Last week D)
Despite losing to the Dallas Cowboys, the Seahawks’ offense played a good game at AT&T Stadium. Geno Smith threw three touchdowns against one interception and scored a rushing touchdown while Zach Charbonnet rushed for 60 yards on 19 carries and scored a rushing touchdown. DK Metcalf caught six receptions for 134 yards and scored three touchdowns on the night while Jaxon Smith-Njigba caught seven receptions for 62 yards. The Seahawks offense had a great performance on the road but couldn’t get the victory against a very physical Dallas Cowboys team.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: C+ (Last week C-)
The Buccaneers’ offense played a close one against the struggling Carolina Panthers as they defeated them 21-18. Baker Mayfield threw one touchdown against one interception in the afternoon. Rachaad White rushed for 84 yards on 20 carries and scored a rushing touchdown while Chris Godwin rushed for 19 yards on one carry and scored a rushing touchdown. Mike Evans caught seven receptions for 162 yards and scored a touchdown as well while the Bucs anchor down on the Panthers and look to compete for the NFC South crown against the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints.
Tennessee Titans: D+ (Last week C-)
The Titans’ offense almost secured the victory but lost 28-31 in overtime to the Indianapolis Colts from behind. Will Levis threw one touchdown against zero interceptions but was sacked six times. Derrick Henry rushed for 102 yards on 21 carries and scored two rushing touchdowns while DeAndre Hopkins caught five receptions for 75 yards and scored a touchdown. Henry and Hopkins continue to be the vocal points for the offense, but the offensive line needs to do a much better job at protecting Levis from opposing defenses so he can be more effective with the football- as the season continues to roll on through.
Washington Commanders: D (Last week D)
The Commanders’ offense had no answers for the Miami Dolphins, who swam right past them 45-15. Sam Howell threw one interception and scored two rushing touchdowns but was sacked three times while Brian Robinson Jr. rushed for 53 yards on seven carries. Curtis Samuel caught four receptions for 65 yards on the afternoon. It was a brutal day for the Commanders’ offense as they were smacked by the Dolphins, all game long.
