Ndamukong Suh is officially done with the NFL, having announced his retirement from professional football in a heartbreaking social media post this weekend.

Suh, a Super Bowl champion and five-time All-Pro, took to X on Saturday to reveal he’s walking away from the game to honor his late father’s wish.

He penned an emotional tweet in which he revealed his dad told him it was time for him to move on.

“Before he passed, he gave me one final piece of advice,” Suh claimed, adding that his father told him, “It’s time to let football go. You’ve done everything you set out to do. Now it’s time for the next chapter.”

“That conversation stayed with me,” he continued. “So today, one year later, I’m honoring that wish. I’m officially retiring from the NFL.”

Ndamukong Suh previously said on ‘The Rich Eisen Show’ that all options were on the table while discussing potential retirement, though he did state that any return to the field would require the perfect situation.

The 38-year-old, who last suited up for the Philadelphia Eagles, hasn’t played since 2022. However, he has been active off the field, making a massive $10.1 million donation to the University of Nebraska for their renovations.

We wish him the very best in retirement.
