Jay Cutler is finally free.

The former NFL quarterback began serving a four-day jail sentence after pleading guilty to driving under the influence.

Last year, the former Chicago Bears quarterback was thrown into a Tennessee jail after he was caught driving while intoxicated. He was also found to have a gun. After a minor traffic collision, he was observed showing signs of intoxication, and officers found a loaded pistol and a rifle in his vehicle.

The driver of the other vehicle at the time told responding authorities that Cutler “attempted to flee the scene after offering him $2,000 if he did not call the Police.”

It did not work out in his favor. As a result, he took a plea deal that required him to spend four days in jail and pay a $350 fine.

Jay Cutler, Kristin Cavallari’s ex-husband, was released early from jail in Tennessee.

The 42-year-old was booked into Williamson County Jail on Monday as part of his plea deal. Despite being ordered to spend four days there, TMZ reported he was released after around two-and-a-half days on Wednesday.

Just because he is out does not mean he is scot-free.

In his plea deal, he must also be on unsupervised probation for one year and attend a DUI safety class. His Tennessee license was also revoked.

Jay Cutler will also have random and regular drug tests.

Out of the courtroom, Cutler was previously married to reality star Kristin Cavallari before their divorce in 2022. During their time together, he played quarterback for the Chicago Bears, Denver Broncos, and Miami Dolphins during his 12-year career. He retired from the NFL in 2017.

He has remained silent about his arrest throughout this entire time.. However, his ex-wife, Kristin Cavallari, broke her silence about it last year.

“I do, of course, wish Jay nothing but the best, and I do hope that he gets the help that he needs,” she said.

“But that’s the only thing I will be saying about it publicly.”
