Ilia Topuria has absolutely massacred all of his opponents up until now. In his latest showdown, the manner in which he ragdolled Charles Oliveira sent chills down the UFC fans’ spines.

Now, as he is enjoying a number one pound-for-pound ranking, Topuria delivered a chilling message about his return. He pointed out that after conquering a host of big names, he is ready to take everyone down standing in his path.

However, amidst all the callouts from ‘El Matador,’ one person seems to have been quietly watching. Going up to the welterweight division, Islam Makhachev is considered to be Topuria’s kryptonite. And while the Dagestani still has to beat Jack Della Maddalena to become the champion, he seems ready for a super fight.

A showdown between Makhachev and Topuria has been hyped heavily for a long time now. However, with the Dagestani initially showing reluctance, it appears he has now made up his mind. The former lightweight champion has called out the current champion to a battle at the White House!

“He wants to fight in White House, I also want to be there. It’s gonna be big fight for MMA community. If UFC want this fight, we can do this. Which fight gonna be bigger than this?” Makhachev said via ESPN.

Surely, if Dana White books this fight, UFC fans are in for a banger. However, nothing is being confirmed as of now. But much to the fans’ delight, Topuria, too, spoke about fighting Makhachev at White House.

The Spaniard shocked the world as he made easy work of Oliveira. And now, after winning two belts in two different divisions, ‘El Matador’ wants to pursue history. He wants to become the very first fighter to compete for a third belt in the UFC. And for that, his prime target is Makhachev at the White House.

“This will be one of the biggest fights in UFC history. No one has ever fought for the belt in three weight categories before. Islam dominantly dealt with everyone in its division, rose, and our fight will be a fight of great magnitude. This is in the best interest of all, including the UFC,” Topuria said in a presser in Georgia.

Thus, it is evident that the hype is growing significantly. And with both the fighters ready to lock horns, it will be up to Dana White to decide what’s next.
