Disney Star Has Tragically Died At Just 33
Carla Jeffery, best known as Bree in Disney’s “Zombies” franchise, has died at 33. Her longtime talent agency confirmed the news Wednesday.
Alexanders Talent Management shared the statement on Jeffery’s official Instagram account. A tribute graphic marked her birth and death dates.
Disney Channel Star Remembered By Her Longtime Agency
The agency did not reveal a cause of death.
“It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Carla Jeffery, who passed away on September 1, 2026, at just 33 years old,” agency head Carla Alexander wrote.
Alexander explained that Jeffery joined the agency at age 12.
“For more than 20 years, we had the privilege of watching her grow into a beautiful, vibrant, and incredibly talented woman whose radiant smile could light up any room,” she continued.
The statement highlighted Jeffery’s biggest role.
“As Bree in Disney’s hit ZOMBIES franchise, Carla shared her joy, humor, and bright spirit with audiences around the world,” Alexander wrote.
She added that Jeffery “was more than a client; she was family.”
Jeffery played Bree, an aspiring cheerleader at Seabrook High, across three “Zombies” films starting in 2018. She later voiced the character in the 2024 animated spinoff. Fans first knew her from smaller roles on “iCarly,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” and “Good Luck Charlie.”
Tributes Pour In For The Disney Channel Star
Co-stars quickly filled the comments section with grief.
“Zombies” lead Milo Manheim called Jeffery “the sweetest person I have ever met,” adding, “I love you.”
Chandler Kinney, who appeared alongside Jeffery in “Zombies 2” and “Zombies 3,” called her “the kindest person you’d ever meet.” Kinney added that the loss “doesn’t feel real.”
Disney Entertainment Television also issued a statement. The company praised Jeffery’s “extraordinary talent, warmth and spirit” and said her performances “brought joy to millions.”
Jeffery’s death adds to a difficult stretch for Hollywood’s young talent. It follows the recent loss of teen MonsterVerse actress Kaylee Hottle in a car accident. It also comes weeks after the sudden death of former child star Hayden Panettiere.
Variety confirmed that Jeffery’s cause of death remains undisclosed as of this report. The publication noted her nearly two-decade run with Alexanders Talent Management, dating back to her early adolescence.
Alexanders Talent Management closed its statement with a personal farewell.
“Our hearts are with Carla’s family and loved ones during this devastating time. We respectfully ask that their privacy be honored as they grieve this unimaginable loss,” the agency wrote. “Rest beautifully, Carla. Your light will never be forgotten.”
No funeral or memorial details have been made public.
